Dr. Nishan Amerasinghe

Dr. Nishan has special interest in all skin conditions including skin cancer/melanoma, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hair and scalp disorders, and pigmentary disorders.

Nishan has graduated in Sri Lanka in 1995 and commenced his dermatology training in 2004. He completed his MD in Dermatology in 2008 and subsequently worked in New Zealand. He obtained his FACD in 2014 after training in various hospitals in Melbourne, including the Skin Health Institute(formerly Skin and Cancer Foundation), Alfred Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Royal Melbourne Hospital and St.Vincent’s Hospital.

Nishan has presented papers in conferences in Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.

Nishan can also consult in Sinhala. He also holds a public sector appointment at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne and consults in the private sector at the Skin Health Institute, Carlton and in St Albans.

He sees all general dermatological conditions with special interest in acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, skin cancers including melanoma, tropical diseases and pigmentary disorders.
